Francisco's DRIST has crushed eardrumsand won over fans across the
country since the band began in San Mateo, California during the
summer of 1997,Quickly rising above the circuit with stellar energy

BOOM. THE BAND......It all begins with TYSON YEN. The voice of

Metal/Alternative/Rock Vocalist. Guitarist Marcus Henderson's fiery
performances have earned him major endorsements from the likes of
LINE 6 AMPLIFIERS, DEAN MARKLEY STRINGS, INNES CLOTHING, and a host
of others. Marcus' onstage energy could run a small town for weeks.
Bassist DAVID PEARL combines Power and Presence while holding down
the low end like a cement truck running over a subwoofer. KYLE
FREEZE doesn't so much play drums as he does attack them. His
precision and vibe propels DRIST to Stardom, and rounds out an
unbelievable collection of four extremely talented young
individuals.
DRIST annihalates the stage with a whirlwind force that resonates
the heart and ears long after they've stopped playing. Stunning
performances on the VAN'S WARPED TOUR AND BOARDSTOCK and Legendary
shows with PENNYWISE, BLOODHOUND GANG, SEETHER, TOMMY LEE, and
dozens of other high national and hig profile acts has solidified
Drist as one of the Bay area's most exciting bands to break in long
time. 2002 marked another in a series of pivotal moments in the
band as they sign with the Sound Management
firm,(Smashmouth,T.A.T.U.) and then to Spunout Records(headed by
Steve Harwell) later that year. 2003 saw the release of the Bands
full length debut, "Bitter Halo" in which super-producer Ulrich
Wylde(DEFTONES, ROD ZOMBIE, INCUBUS) was quoted as saying
"(Drist)is becoming my favorite band in a long, long time!" Various
tracks from Bitter Halo are in rotation on MTV'S REAL WORLD/ROAD
RULES, along with performances in BUDWEISER TRUE MUSIC commercials
and radio spots. Two songs were also chosen for the SOUNDTRACK
MAJOR MOTION PICTURE "INHABITED" Starring Malcom Mcdowell, and
Meghan Gallagher.
2004 brings an array of opprotunities as the band prepares to enter
the studio again to record the follow up to the smash hit Bitter
Halo. The album due fall '04, already has a strong buzz about it,
and by summer www.drist.com will celebrate it's ONE MILLIONTH
visitor.
